Both the TL and the CV had strong editorials today reiterating all the points I made here regarding the problematic new renter's law. It's
about time. Though, of course, the TL only runs about one local edit a week so it's impressive that it runs at all. At the CV Jimmy Gittens is stellar in writing a local op-ed every day, without fail.
In any case, let's hope this public pressure will make the WB brain-trust rethink the plan and come up with something workable and legal.
Speaking of which, the other cool local story is how, again, the WB school board has proved that it's anal spinchter continues to act in place of its mislaid brain. A story today in the TL points out that Mayor Leighton's brother doesn't have the certification to be a
latter-day truant officer and reiterates the fact that he was selected despite some problems in the process.
Don't these people ever get tired of publicly parading their stupidity? Apparently not.
