So why exactly IS the TL getting so much smaller these days? After gutting the stocks listing, the paper is almost a mockery of its former self. With the only news in it is "feel good" stuff about volunteers and blood drives and walks for the cure, it more and more reminds me of the old GRIT from Williamsport. It actually only has room for two or three national and international articles each day and that's scary.
The CV, in its ads, said it is doing an old-fashioned content analysis (this I know, that's what I did for my master's paper at PSU) and finding that the CV has 20 percent more news than the TL. To me, that seems modest, especially on Monday's when the TL wouldn't line the bottom of a good size chickadee cage.
So why? Well, obviously Connor always wants to save every penny. But is it possible that the rumor I've heard from an insider, that he is trying to dress up the bottom line for a prospective buyer before folding his tent and heading back to Dodge, true?
If would be nice if somone could comment but I guess I'm just musing aloud for myself these days.
