From Fox 8 News. Just one more sign the apocalypse is imminent, or at least the death of newspapers as we have known them. In 10 years, we'll all be paying a premium if we want an "old-fashioned" print newspaper.

The Plain Dealer
CLEVELAND — Monday marked a big change for some news consumers, particularly those who enjoy the delivery of a daily paper.
It was the first day The Plain Dealer scaled back home delivery in order to cut costs and address the shift in reader habits.
The paper will still be available in newsstands, but it will only end up on doorsteps Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with a bonus delivery on Saturday.
A seven-day digital edition is also offered online.
New York-based Advanced Publications, which owns The Plain Dealer, has already implemented the scaled back delivery for other papers it owns in other cities.
In another attempt to save money, last week The Plain Dealer laid off nearly 50 people, about a third of its newsroom.
